Scientific Contributions

Coupled cluster theory, linear scaling electronic structure methods, exchange-correlation functionals and range separation, quantum chemistry with periodic boundary conditions, time-dependent density functional theory, symmetry breaking and restoration, methods for strong correlation based on symmetry-projected states. Applications to fullerenes, carbon nanotubes, graphene nanoribbons, and solid-state heavy elements chemistry.
